October Magdalen Flea Market
Last Saturday I pootled down to the Magdalen Market at the Magdalen Arms in East Oxford, armed with my camera and on the hunt for a bargain. I picked up an awesome old wooden clothes horse from Sarah’s Home Comforts and gave it a new lease of life with some Annie Sloan Chalk Paint™.
I love having a snoop through the stalls and unearthing flea market bargains and nostalgic treasures.
Market favourite Marion from Doo Little Dumplings always does a storming trade with her super cute handmade children’s clothes, toys and accessories.
Kate from Old Made was back with a wonderful stall packed with awesome flea market finds.
These beautiful jadeite pieces caught my eye too!
Charlotte from Sit Upholstery’s stall was brimming with colour, beautiful pieces for your home and lots of gorgeous pom poms!
Inside the cosy warmth of the pub, the kitchen served delicious pastries, cakes and bacon rolls alongside Missing Bean coffee amidst piles of homegrown pumpkins and beautiful autumnal blooms from local florist Hilary Squire.
Tony’s homemade foccacia, fresh from the oven, took pride of place on the bar, ready to be taken home.
Richard’s Retrozone stall is always full of interesting things and nostalgic pieces that take me right back to my childhood, especially these 70s fish plates!
If you fancy checking out the Magdalen Market the next date is 12th November when they’ll have a great line up of stalls including Annie Sloan, Doo Little Dumplings, Elizabeth Wyatt Jewellery, Sit Upholstery and more. Join their Facebook event for trader updates and news.
