The Charter was created by the Oxfordshire Inclusive Economy Partnership, a group of over 100 organisations working together to share knowledge, expertise and resources to address some of our county’s greatest challenges.

    We are so excited to be hosting our first ever Mak We are so excited to be hosting our first ever Makers Market at The Up In Arms in East Oxford and we would love to see you there 🤗 On Sunday 14th June from 10am to 5pm, 241 Marston Road will be home to some incredible independent makers from across Oxfordshire. There will be handmade jewellery, artisan chocolates and nut butters, linocut prints, natural candles, loose leaf tea, children’s books, nature inspired artwork, hand painted silk and so much more. On top of that, Laura Greene Photography will be running a popup pooch portrait shoot on the day so bring your dogs along 🐾 and Amy Surman will be running jewellery workshops for anyone who fancies having a go themselves.     Can’t get enough of this new coffee shop… 😏 If yo Can’t get enough of this new coffee shop… 😏 If you’re already familiar with @missingbeancoffeeshops then you know their coffee is great, their food is delicious, and their venues are unique. But the new Cowley cafe is HUGE, and surprisingly cosy for such a big space. It’s a beautiful venue, with lots of nooks and warmed lighting, and a good number of plug sockets for anyone looking to bring along their laptops. It’s the latest in a series of cafe openings from the Missing Bean team, and it doesn’t disappoint. The quiches are a new addition - I tried the traditional quiche Lorraine, but they serve a veggie option as well - all made in house by their brilliant chef/baker, Jess. The freshly made coleslaw was tasty, with a tasty pop of fennel and the bacon in the quiche was generous. It’s well worth a visit if you haven’t been, and if you work on the Oxford Business Park, you are in for a treat! Your breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks just got a whole lot tastier. Running an independent business can feel lonely at times and these meet ups exist to change that. Whether people came along with a challenge they’d been sitting on, a win they wanted to share, or simply needed a couple of hours in good company, everyone left with something.
